ST. PAUL, Minn. (April 5, 2017) - Recently, the Minnesota Credit Union Network (MnCUN), the state trade association for Minnesota’s credit union, was honored with a Diamond Award, which recognizes outstanding marketing and business development achievements in the credit union industry.
The award was presented by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing & Business Development Council, a national network comprised of over 1,200 credit union marketing and business development professionals. Awards are given in each of 30 categories ranging from advertising to community events and beyond.
MnCUN won in the Credit Union League or Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) Marketing category for WINcentive Savings. Available to members of participating Minnesota credit unions, WINcentive is a prize-linked savings account that offers consumers the chance to win cash prizes of $100, quarterly prizes of $1,000, and an annual prize of $5,000.
“The credit union industry has no shortage of marketing and business development talent, but, as the name of the prize suggests, these professionals shine the brightest,” said Amber Scott, Chair of the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council’s Diamond Awards Committee and VP Marketing & Communications at 1st MidAmerica Credit Union. “Bold, inventive and fearless in the face of uncertainty, the 2017 Diamond Award winners inspire us to aim higher and try new approaches.”
“Our team at MnCUN has worked to make WINcentive Savings a fun, rewarding way for credit union members to increase healthy savings habits. The program marketing is designed to help credit unions portray that message and engage their members,” said MnCUN Director of Communications Andrea Molnau. “We are thankful to the CUNA Marketing and Business Development Council for this recognition.”
Awards were presented at the council’s 24th annual conference held March 29 through April 1 in San Antonio, Texas. For more information on the Diamond Awards or to view the entire list of winners, visit the CUNA Councils website (http://www.cunacouncils.org/awards/).
